Abstract

This research paper analyzes the role assumed by self-managing women leaders in the process of transition to agroecology in the periurban area of Florencio Varela. The specific objectives proposed by the research were: to characterize the participatory management processes that emerged from the formation of the Florencio Varela Producers' Round Table (later renamed the Agrarian Round Table) in 2018; to examine the role of women producers in the organizational strategies for the transition to agroecology, their visions and their practices; and to analyze the impact of their actions on the territorial political capacity of that collective body to advance in this process.
