Abstract

This article analyzes the morbidity profile of the population with a Disability Certificate (CUD) in Argentina between 2009 and 2017, considering its relationship with socioeconomic determinants and access to health, by region and province. An ecological study was conducted based on secondary sources (2010 Census, health statistics, and the National Registry of Persons with Disabilities). The results show a predominance of non-communicable diseases, as well as regional differences associated with demographic structure and, to a lesser extent, socioeconomic conditions. The Northeast (NEA) and Northwest (NOA) regions have a higher prevalence of communicable diseases and worse socioeconomic and health indicators. Furthermore, a significant gap is identified between the population with disabilities and those who access the CUD, which poses limitations for the interpretation of the results.
